ABOUT THE COMPANY
Sushi Masa is looking for a dependable and hardworking Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant focused on delivering fresh, high-quality Japanese cuisine and excellent guest experiences. If you take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a strong team, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items including hot kitchen dishes (hibachi, teriyaki, tempura, noodles, etc.) according to Sushi Masa standards
- Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations before and during service
- Ensure all food is prepared consistently, quickly, and with attention to presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with sushi chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Assist with prep work, inventory, and restocking as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (Japanese cuisine experience a plus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
